Celebrating ten years of meaningful impact, Vivant Foundation Inc. (VFI), the corporate social responsibility arm of Vivant Corporation, unveiled a new Solar Technology curriculum aimed at empowering Filipino Science and Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) graduates with industry-ready skills for a changing world. Approved by the Department of Education after over four years of development, this innovative Solar-EIM (Electrical Installation and Maintenance) curriculum will pilot in Region VII schools, with plans to expand nationwide to prepare a new generation of work-ready professionals for the renewable energy sector.
With the launch of this curriculum, Vivant Foundation underscores its dedication to creating solutions for our changing world. “We believe that education is a powerful tool for transformation,” shared VFI Executive Director Shem Jose Garcia. “Through this curriculum, we are bridging education and employability, equipping graduates with practical skills that not only advance their careers but also contribute to a sustainable future. It’s about giving students the opportunity to succeed and serve as stewards of our natural resources.”
This milestone reflects VFI’s enduring mission to bring lasting change and equalize opportunities for Filipino youth, especially in underserved communities. The Foundation’s anniversary celebration gathered Vivant officials, educators, community leaders, and industry partners to honor the past and look forward to a future fueled by progress and purpose. A heartfelt pledge to keep creating solutions for our changing world, one student and one community at a time.
