Vivant Energy Corporation (Vivant Energy) has expanded its renewable energy footprint with its new investment in the 53.14 MWp Samal Solar Power Project in Bataan  through acquisition of a 40% equity stake in Samal Solar Renewable Energy Corporation (SSREC). The investment builds on Vivant Energy’s renewable energy footprint in Luzon.

The solar facility, which began commercial operations in August 2025 and was developed by Tigon Power Corp. (Tigon Power) and operated under SSREC, supplies 53.14 MW of clean power to Corenergy, Vivant Energy’s retail electricity arm. The investment reinforces Vivant Energy’s commitment to the Department of Energy’s call for stronger public-private partnerships that ensure the benefits of the energy transition are realized through local development and capacity building. This also underscores the conglomerate’s commitment to clean energy aligned with  its goal to increase its renewable energy mix to 30% by 2030.
