Vivant Corporation’s social responsibility arm, Vivant Foundation Inc. (VFI) continues its mission to support education and sustainable development with the turnover of the single-storey Science Laboratory Building at Puerto Princesa City National Science High School.
Vivant has built a strong partnership with Puerto Princesa by supporting education that prepares students for the future through curriculum enhancement and relevant industry exposure. In 2024, the energy arm of the conglomerate, Vivant Energy Corporation (VEC) and subsidiary, Delta P, Inc. (DPI), awarded the same school with 1.5M worth of essential STEM equipment and teachers’ training to help bridge the technology exposure gap of the city’s learners.
“We believe that investing in education and sustainable energy solutions is a crucial step towards creating solutions for our changing world. We are not only improving learning in the environment we grow in but also ensuring that future generations have access to the tools and resources they need to make a difference in an evolving world,” said Shem Jose Garcia, Executive Director of Vivant Foundation Inc.
“VFI’s initiatives serve as a bridge that connects our learners to a future where they can become globally competitive contributors by providing access to quality facilities and sustainable energy solutions,” said Daniel Lebante, Principal of Puerto Princesa City National Science High School.
These investments of VFI in Palawan strengthen Vivant Corp.’s ongoing initiatives in the province. Vivant Water’s subsidiary Puerto Princesa Wastewater Reclamation and Learning Center (PPWRLC) offers wastewater treatment solutions that have significantly contributed to cleaning Puerto Princesa Bay. Vivant Energy’s subsidiary Delta P, Inc. (DPI), which new engines that will boost the power capacity of the city, have recently been delivered. Calamian Islands Power Corp. (CIPC) to the north ensures stable power generation, supporting economic and tourism growth. Together, these initiatives provide the infrastructure and safeguards needed for the province to thrive as a premier tourist destination and economic hub.
This groundbreaking ceremony reinforces Vivant’s commitment to nation-building by investing in education and sustainable energy solutions, empowering future generations, and fostering long-term socio-economic development in Palawan.
